There’s an old joke about guitar players: “How do you get a guitarist to turn down? Put a piece of sheet music in front of them!”

If you want to learn how to play guitar, and you want jokes like that NOT to apply to you, then I’m your man. In addition to playing and singing rock, pop, etc., I have a formal music education from high school to college to the Armed Forces School of Music. Reading music, understanding chord structure, all the tools for jazz improvisation – these things can be hard to get a handle on. The military is very good at teaching a lot of information and skills in a short period of time, whether it’s warfighting, medicine, or music. It was through this methodology that I made some of my greatest strides as a musician, and I can use this experience to help you do the same. And I’m a lot nicer than a drill sergeant, at least when I’m not in the kitchen. Whether you want to be a singer-songwriter, a rock star, a jazz guitarist like Wes Montgomery, or a classical guitarist, I will get you on the right path.
